A mildly-venomous Herald Snake (Crotaphopeltis hotamboeia) biting. It is a popular myth that back-fanged snakes (like the Boomslang) cannot easily inflict a bite and need to latch onto a finger. Most of these snakes can open their mouths very wide and bite easily.
