Western Keeled Snake
A nocturnal snake that inhabits rocky desert areas of Namibia and elsewhere further north. The Western Keeled snake averages 50 cm but can reach 80 cm in length. Females are larger than males. This snake feeds on lizards, especially geckos, and skinks, but will also take small rodents and even birds.
