Kunene Racer and Semiornate Snakes
These two snakes are hardly seen in southern Africa. They are medium sized snakes of around 60 cm. The Kunene Racer is a rare snake known from northern Namibia and only described in 2000.
The Semiornate Snake is a shy and seldom seen snake. They are found in patchy distributions in eastern South Africa, Mozambique and Zimbabwe. Both species are grey with darker cross bars. These snakes are non-venomous.
